Natrona Heights, Pa. – Local fire crews responded to the Heights Plaza, Planet Fitness for smoke in the structure just about 4:30 pm Tuesday. Crews arrived on scene and the cause of the light haze in the building was initially reported as possibly a treadmill belt. Crews continued to investigate the source of the issue, relaying possibly an air handler on the bravo side of the building. The electrical panel was checked and no breakers were tripped. It was later determined an electrical motor on an air handler could possibly have a bad bearing and belt. Crews shut down this handler and advised it would have to be looked at. Crews began to clear the scene about 5:20 pm.
