Image Copyright Lowes Computers New Kensington, Pa. – One person sustained what appearred to be minor injuries after an e-bike/scooter crash in the intersection of 7th Street and Industrial Boulevard about 2:50 pm today. New Kensington EMS/Police and Fire responded to the intersection after 911 dispatch advised a scooter was involved in an accident. When AKVMEDIA.COM arrived, the youth was sitting upright on the back of the EMS truck and did not appear to have serious injuries. A short time later, EMS crews loaded the youth into the ambulance for transport to the hospital from the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is unknown if a vehicle was actually involved in the crash, however there was a silver sedan in the parking lot of the auto parts, but it’s unknown if that vehicle was involved in the crash or merely a witness. Traffic in the intersection was not impacted by the crash and crews cleared in about 20 minutes.
