Image Copyright Lowes Computers Harrison Township, Pa. – The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office released the following information after a serious crash in Harrison Township Sunday afternoon just before 3:00 pm. The woman who died in the crash was identified as Melody Sue Emrich, age 54. Her place of residence was not released. Allegheny County Police was listed as the investigating agency. According to a post on Facebook from Hilltop Hose #3 Fire Department at the time of the incident, SR RT 908 was closed for an extended time between Saxonburg Road in Fawn Township and the PA 28 NB ramps. Police, EMS, and fire units remained on scene for several hours processing the scene. No further details have been released by authorities. From Allegheny County Police: The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in Harrison Township. On October 4, 2026 at 2:35pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of a vehicle vs motorcycle collision at the State Route 908 and State Route 28 intersection. When first responders arrived they located a Jeep SUV occupied with a driver and passenger and a Harley Davidson motorcycle with two riders. Detectives are initiating the investigation.
