Armstrong County, Pa. – Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers released the following information after a fatal wreck occurred in Rayburn Township before 4:00 pm, September 24, 2026. Coroner Myers said a 60 year-old male was fatally injured when the truck he was driving crossed over the centerline and hit a commercial truck head-on. The incident occurred approximately 1/2 mile south of Tri County Truck Center on State Route 28/66. The decedent, Kurt A. Shoffner, age 60 who’s last known address was Worthington, died from his injuries. Coroner Meyers said no further details are available and an autopsy will be performed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by PSP Kittanning and the Armstrong County Coroner’s Office.
