2 Patients transported after early morning crash on the Tarentum Bridge

Tarentum, Pa. – An early morning crash at 7:29 am reportedly sent two patients to the hospital after 911 dispatch reported a 4 vehicle crash on the Tarentum side of the bridge.

Radio traffic indicated at least 2 patients had to be extricated from their vehicles. Authorities closed the bridge in both directions for a short time to enable EMS trucks access to the scene.

Fire and EMS Crews from Station 112, 115, 287, E280, Station 56 and Lower Burrell all responded to the crash.

As of 9:15 am, fire crews were still cleaning up debris from the scene.
